Hajime TSUKUNI

Profession & Career

Mr. Tsukuni handles various cases concerning intellectual property.
He handles all kinds of technologies, but specializes particularly in Chemistry and Biotechnology.

He started his career as an assistant at Kyoto University, Department of Industrial Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering.
He then worked for Hitachi Chemical Company, Ltd. and was employed as a research scientist at its Yamazaki Research Laboratory, conducting research on C5-fraction applications, research on synthesis of agricultural chemicals and research and development of synthetic resins.
After his career in Hitachi for 10 years, he joined S. Yoshida Patent Office and worked there under Mr. Shigeru Yoshida.
In February 1979, he left S. Yoshida Patent Office and opened TSUKUNI & ASSOCIATES.
He was an affiliate professor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich for 10 years from 1996, and an affiliate professor at Tohoku University for 4 years from 2003.

Graduated from Kyoto University, Department of Industrial Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering.
