Profession & Career

Mr. Sakamoto handles domestic and foreign patent and design cases (search, applications, prosecutions, appeals, litigation & trials and expert opinion preparation). He specializes in Applied Physics and Mechanics, and, can provide a particularly high level of services with respect to patent cases in the fields of Hydraulic Control, Analog Electronics, Semiconductor Process, Thin-film Technology, Construction and Agricultural machinery, Gaming Machines, Software, and the like.

He belonged to the research and development department of a manufacturer of construction machinery in Japan for 13 years, being engaged in the development of electro hydraulic control, thin-film pressure sensors, etc. After the career as an engineer, he worked for a domestic patent firm for 8 year, being in charge of patent affairs (including domestic patent applications and prosecutions there of in the fields of gaming machines, electric devices, etc.).

He joined TSUKUNI & ASSOCIATES in April 2011.
